However, don’t get carried away with reams of text. Another trend is for minimalism, provided that the design is attractive, that is. You need to make sure you have all your product’s details in a concise and easy-to-read format. Avoid paragraphs of text and keep things simple, but don’t leave out important details.

You also need to make sure that your navigation is simple and that there are no interruptions to the customer journey. Avoid the temptation to put pop-ups and banner ads in the way of people finding what they’re looking for.

Given that nearly half (41 per cent) of those aged under 40 prefer to shop online rather than in actual stores, it makes sense to ensure your ecommerce platform is performing at its best. Remember to regularly assess your site to make sure that you’re not missing out on making simple changes that could lead to higher conversions.
